Would have to say either The Deep or Urgoz outposts are quite barren these days and would be good places to hide, mostly cuz in order to get ther u either gotta get a scroll or hitch a ride from a taxi, if ppl are even still doing that. Also the Jade Quarry, almost never see anybody there.

This thread disturbs me a little. I take it as a matter of pride to have every outpost on every character. I specifically make the effort to run or fight my way to each town on each girl I have.

You NEED ALL the towns for: cartography, skill hunting, farming, hell.. just for assisting friends, or just role-playing/lore.

It's very odd to hear people say they have been playing for 3 years and just now discovered a town. The room is spinning, I need to sit down.

EDIT: and you missed at least one town ---- BOTH Vizunah's on the same character.

EDIT2: and ALLL the arenas

Disturbing indeed, sounds like you need a break...

And the only one of those that's even true is cartography.

I vote for either of the Factions challenge missions - probably the least played chapter of the bunch, with no reason to visit either of these places unless your doing cartography, and no reason to ever go back once you've been there.

I strongly disagree with Gate of the Nightfallen lands being obscure. Some of the quests in the torment region will lead you right past the entrance such as "They Only Come Out at Night". You'd have to blind not to see the gate. Granted the map is dark, but it's not that dark! Everyone I know with Nightfall has visited this outpost while doing the quests on that map. It's also a good waypoint for reaching quests like "Drink of the Gods", "Good Demon Hunting" or "Dark Gateway".

For me, the most obscure outpost would have to be the Shadow Nexus. Never new it was there until I entered it one day entirely by accident.

Shadow Nexus, although it's a challenge mission I've NEVER seen anyone there. Plus, it's got a PIMP name.

Just FYI though, at least ONE of your guildies probaly reads guru. So... yea. My idea, pick one that's SO obvious, that they will go to every outpost in this thread... except that one. Go to Kamadan

Actually, just remembered an outpost i stumbled apon when i was new to the game. Nobody was there (when i started the game, a TON of people were playing [2 years ago]). Camp Hojanu, in Nightfall. It's so random and out of the way that... well, they wont find you!

If they actually have to tag you, hide out in the area of Kaineng that you arrive at after beating the game. They'll never suspect you to be in a main city, and even if they do, they'll have to beat Shiro and go through the Divine Path to get to you.

Well actually, there's no reason to go to Gate of the Nightfallen Lands, and almost no reason to go to Shadow Nexus. So I'd say those are by far the most obscure, as they don't show up on any maps unless you actually find the town....which if you're just playing through or whatever, won't happen easily.

My husband had 100% cartography in Elona, weeks before we noticed he had missed the town of Basalt Grotto.

Anyway, I would vote for something like Yahnur Market, or Lair of the Forgotten?

How???? If you're doing Carto you'd HAVE to walk by the outpost, so why not just pop in....or at least be aware of it and go back later.

Obviously all the outpost aren't REQUIRED, but having them BEFORE starting carto or skill hunter is a great benefit for obvious reasons.

....

Nightfallen Jahai is like 3min from the Gate of Pain, and has several quests that go right by there. It's also a superb place to cap Jagged Bones.

Camp Hojanu isn't all that out of the way, iirc, several quests lead you right to/through it

good hiding places would also be

at the lighthouse in lions arch town
in the "hidden" corridor at the aurora glade mission outpost

Maguuma Stade is the only outpost that genuinely surprised me after so long.
